The Light Infantry units were dressed with blue short tailed coats. The different units were differentiated by three distinctive colours: yellow, crimson and madder red. The placement of the regimental colour on lapels and collar were also used to differentiate the different units. The six battalions wearing yellow regimental colour also differentiate among them by the colour of the buttons. This units were listed in the "Estado Militar de 1808" and they were:
