Musicians' coats had reversed colours. The yellow lace gave a distinctive look along with the trefoil epaulettes.

The fusiliers were dressed with the regulation blue coat

The centre companies' drummer wore reversed colour coats with lapels and turnbacks in blue cloth. They also wore blue cloth swallows nsets on the shoulders trimmed with tricolor lace. Collar, lapels and cuffs were also trimmed with the same lace. Note also the lace on the back.

Sapeurs' coats had variations from the regulation. The white cloth items, lapels and turnbacks, were replaced by red cloth. Note the crossed axes on the sleeve in red cloth. In some cases the color and shape of them varied, and in some instances there were a cloth grenade on top of them.
