French dragoons during the Napoleonic wars wore green coats with distinctive facing colours on different parts of it. The 10th regiment had crimson facing colour on collar, lapels, cuffs, cuff flaps and turnbacks.

Crimson piping was applied on the pockets. The 10th regiment has vertical pocket which were used to differentiate it from the 7th regiment which had the same facing colour arrangement.

Trumpets used reversed colour coats being crimson the base colour and green used on collar, lapels, cuffs, cuff flaps and turnbacks. The collar, lapels, cuffs and turnbacks.

The plate number 146 of the Aaron Martinet serie representing an officer f the 10th regiment  has a different facing colour, more likely (but darker) the one used for regiments 13th to 18th, but we consider this an error done during the colouring.
