 The  Conecuh Guards received their flag on April 24th 1861 at the Spatara Depot.It was used in June of the same year at the dress

parade held at Harpers Ferry, Virginia. 

The flag returned to Alabama carried by Private Henry C. Stearns of the Conecuh Guards.

It is part of the Alabama Civil War Period Collection of the Alabama Department of Archives and History. (Catalogue No. 86.1894.1 - PN16352-16355).
